Hello everyone! Glad to be back. In 2017 we moved to Greenwood for work. While it was an excellent experience for me, it was not so much for the family. My photography business suffered, my kids suffered, my husband felt lost, I gained 30 lbs and had my website hacked. So believe me when I say last year was a hot mess. I'm never one to say good riddance the previous year, it makes me sad that another has gone. Another year without a family vacation or seeing my grandparents. Another year with dreams not met. Another year where my house doesn't look like a white washed farmhouse that I so desperately would like to replicate. Another year without the kids learning to ride bikes. Each year gone is a little bundle of life, and I do cherish it and the experience but last years was kinda 'meh'. So *breath* lots of work to get done this year I suppose! I'm trying to very honest here. Let's see where it takes me this year.
The very few weddings I had last year were wonderful and I am always gracious to be asked to photograph people's life changing events, especially happy ones that end with cake and dancing. I'm grateful for photo friends that I get to assist through the year. It's like having a purpose when I can help. I'm also grateful for my Shutterfest photo community. This year my favorite print made it to the Canon wall. I'll post that soon, here. This year I would love to collaborate more on projects like these and work on art. Hopefully by the end of 2019 will have posted at least 5 weddings, 5 seniors, painted 5 paintings and submitted 5 works of art for critique, renewed my passport, taught me kids to ride their bikes and have TONS of photos from Shutterfest. I will have taken at least one family vacation and I will have seen my grandparents 700 miles away. Not a high wall to scale for being in the business for 10+ years, but after the last two years, I'd be tickled pink. *Cheers!
